Support our 10:10 Water Lily Project Pledge and help 10 vulnerable women in our 10th anniversary year
The pandemic has meant the charity has experienced its busiest year in its decade with a staggering year-on-year increase of 80% in women seeking help as they flee domestic violence, acrimonious divorces or struggle with mental health issues or financial difficulties.
The 10:10 Water Lily Project Pledge is asking ten Dorset businesses or organisations to offer a financial pledge of £100 each to sponsor ten beneficiaries.
Project Manager Liz Carter explains: “If we can get 10 businesses to support us, that will provide £1000 which will allow us to give 100 hours of 1:1 support to 10 women in crisis. We receive no government funding and rely on donations and grants so this Project Pledge could help make a real difference as an increase in need for our services and support continues to grow as we see the fall-out of the pandemic. It’s also a perfect opportunity for businesses and organisations to show corporate, social responsibility and give back in a really effective way.”
