Donate a Raffle Prize/Gift

With growing numbers of women in our care we are always looking for new ways to raise money for the charity. Every year we hold a Christmas Fair (normally the last Thursday in November). This is a very busy and popular event and last year saw approximately 100 people come through the cafe door and we raised £1000.

The fair includes various stalls such as craft, games, books, bric a brac and cakes. We also run a tombola and raffle. We also have donations from a number of local organisations of raffle prizes.  Organisations who have supported us in the past include: The Captains Club, Chicken and Blues, Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre, Littledown Leisure Centre, Hair Art, Clay Studios, Paulton’s Park and Alice in Wonderland to name but a few.

We also rely heavily on the kind generosity of local supporters who provide us with vouchers or gifts that we can add to the raffle/tombola prizes. We will accept anything as long as it is in new condition, but we cannot accept alcohol. Chocolates, biscuits, crackers etc are great for putting Christmas hampers together. Other useful items include toiletries for men and women, perfume, men’s shaving accessories, stationary, Christmas decorations etc.

We also have a Christmas meal for our WLP women in December where we provide a free two course Christmas dinner and we like to give each beneficiary a Christmas present.
