Would you like to support a project that aims to help vulnerable women by building their confidence and self-worth through 1:1 support and training? We have an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to achieving just that.
If successful you’ll be one of the support workers working for the Water Lily Project (WLP) – a local charity that supports and empowers vulnerable women and aims to lead them back to independent living.
Based in the Water Lily Cafe in Christchurch, you’ll meet with our beneficiaries in regular 1:1 sessions, where you will establish their needs, provide a listening ear and put together a Personal Individual Plan that is achievable using SMART goals.
As one of our support workers you’ll have excellent listening skills, a kind and friendly disposition, patience and a genuine desire to help others. You’ll be able to stay positive and upbeat even when things are difficult and meet women where they are at. You’ll be non-judgemental and work collaboratively with the beneficiary to help them back to independent living. Often dealing with sensitive issues, you will be considerate and discreet.
What we can offer in return
In return we offer full training and the knowledge that you’ll be making a positive difference to women in need, your salary will be £10 per hour plus contributions to pension scheme, we provide a mobile phone and 4 weeks paid holiday plus all bank holidays,
