Water Lily Cafe – our community cafe in Christchurch
The Water Lily Project (WLP) took over the running of Water Lily Cafe (formerly Bailey’s Café) from Richmond Fellowship in 2014. It is run by volunteers and overseen by our Café and Hospitality Manager Emma Whitney.
The café can be used as a training facility for women in our care, many of whom have very low self-esteem and limited cooking skills. Here they can gain their Food & Hygiene certificates and build their confidence through hospitality skills.
The café is open Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm (last orders at 1.45pm). We have a wonderful selection of food at exceptionally low prices with home-made specials every week starting at just £4 for a main course.
We have seating outdoors and indoors and you can now reserve a table online via our easy-to-do booking service.
Pay It Forward
Donate just £5 to provide a homeless person with a hot meal. We then put a marble in a jar so we know how many meals we can give out.
