CAN YOU BE A CHRISTIAN COMPANION?
We’re appealing for Christian supporters to offer spare time to help those isolated during this third lockdown.
The Water Lily Project charity supports and empowers vulnerable women, as well as providing community support for women and men of any age who are lonely or struggling. We need people to become Befrienders.
The role of a Befriender is to provide a stable level of companionship and support to those in need. During lockdown, this takes the form of companion calls to brighten up someone’s day with a friendly chat and listening ear.
Whether you can spare a few hours once a month or dedicate a day a week, The Water Lily Project would love to hear from you. Training and support is given for Befrienders.
To register your interest in becoming a Befriender, please contact Water Lily Deputy manager Bev McKay via email: deputy@waterlilyproject.org.uk
