A huge thank you to Christchurch Baptist Church for raising £579.29 for The Water Lily Project. Special thanks to the amazing Pat Adams and Jan Louch for sewing so many face masks and to the brilliantly organised Lorna and Geoff for co-ordinating sales and postage of them. Over 80 masks were sold! Pat Adams told us: “We chose the Water Lily Project for money raised because we became very aware of the increase in abuse during lockdown, primarily affecting women and their children. We hope that others may see from this small effort that it is relatively easy to do something that others will support in order to help provide funding needed by this amazing charity so that it might continue its work in Christchurch.”
Well said Pat. It just shows what a difference a small group of determined people can make to help others in need. Thank you so very much!
